Handbrake attachment
Just a litte bit of clarity needed here.
I have replaced the rear brake shoes on my Amazon and attached the handbrake cable to the lever as it was. However, I note that the end retention spigot is in two pieces, one thick and one thin. Should the thin one go in front of the lever to give the spring a flat square surface to bear against? This is how I think it should be. I have checked the green book and there is no mention of this and the images are not clear.

120 handbrake lever-cable fitting
What you say in your thread is correct, I have looked it up in the green workshop 120 maual I have and with magnifcation it looks correct,i.e. smaill thin one in front and the large spigot at he rear of the lever. In the past that is the way I have done it because it is logical, never had any problems with it afterwards and I have owned seven Amazons.
