C70 remap
Hi, Ive just bought a 2000 C70 2.0T, Ok im wanting to MOD the car, what sort of performance gains would I get from a remap. Ive noticed the car does pull after about 4.5k revs but under that its just ok, would a remap help the car pull fast all the way through the revs. Whats an adverage price for a remap on a c70 2.0t and does anyone know the best place to go in the northwest.
Cheers |

Tr a cheap bleed valve or MBC manual boost control 1st,you can set them up for peanuts and basicly get same bhp as basic re map,re maps can be set up how you like,low-medium-hi-over power.
Think its between 150-300 or you could buy a used ecu thats already been re mapped. Give the mbc or bleed valve a go,make sure there the locking typ too,I'm sure youl like

In addition, you can't use a secondhand ECU in your car as the ME7 ECU is coded to the chassis. Last edited by FaKaWi; Oct 2nd, 2009 at 21:14. Reason: Just noticed the other inaccurate advice given by a previous poster. |

However on your year of vehicle, i would expect the major players, RICA, MTE and BSR will all be able to use a Pocket PC or softloader connected to the diagnostic port with the ECM untouched...I would expect the PPC/Softloader option to be more expensive than the price you have been quoted... Jod

APS states on website £431 for a remap using rica, whats the differance between Rica, Oscarli and Revo. All simualar power outputs at around the 210-220bhp mark. Anyone else had this done to their car and does it seem about the right price. Was only expecting to pay about £300 tops, but I get the feeling its gonna be worth it. Will anything else need to be upgraded i.e fuel pump, air filter etc.

I have RICA, but I bought the PPC rather than going to the garage.
With the ppc you tune at home. Just plug it into your odb port and press tune. 5 minutes later its done. You can also take it off and put it back on whenever you like. And yes it does work Think it cost £550.
