Engine cutting out?
Hi All,
My 2001 1.8 bifuel is playing up. I don’t think it’s an issue with the lpg system, you are driving along absolutely fine, you put the clutch in and the revs drop to idle but instead of idiling it cuts out. Simply restart the engine and your away. Does Idle control valve requires cleaning? Thanks Cameron |

I'd make a start by cleaning throttle body[carburettor cleaner,an old toothbrush and a cloth for this]and then the idle control valve and see if this improves/cures the situation. Also check for air leaks.

I would try cleaning the idle air valve and throttle body.
Also could be caused by dodgy MAF sensor. Worth a cleaning with a proper MAF cleaner. |
