Default Heating not working

My 2010 S40 1.6D drive has always had good heating from cold until this week when the drivers side just blows cold air until the engine is hot.
I have assumed that there are auxiliary heaters, one for each side, built into the air system. Does anybody know if there are fuses and temperature sensors for each auxiliary heater and if so where are they?
I have checked if the temperature settings on the dash are correct.

Any thoughts on this much appreciated.

Many modern diesel cars have electrical resisters fitted to the heater matrix to input heat into the cabin until the engine's coolant is hot enough; there's only one common heater matrix and the left/right split is done using air flaps to regulate the temperature.

You could try setting both sides to the same temp and running the temperature control slowly down to 'Lo' and then slowly back up to 'Hi' then returning to normal preferred temp. This has proven before to reset the left/right calibration but if not you might find it'll need the codes read or a software update (hopefully not though).

See how you get on.....
