Its a Postcode lottery.
I'm £300 for a 10 plate XC90 D5 Active, that was with the AA but most of the quotes were within £100 of this, with only the odd one @£600 + Follow the advice here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/ins...-car-insurance and you won't go far wrong. Last edited by Castlehill; Mar 12th, 2012 at 04:32. |

£360 with Admiral. Fully comp with guarenteed NCB protection. Did it through Comparethemarket.com.
Got a Meerkat as well. Simples.

The premium is very much depending on location, miles/Year, Business use, history, age, etc etc and one Company could be cheaper for one, while another for someone else.
Best is to go to a comparison site and let it work it out for you. I wanted the full works on my 57 Reg, Fully comp (also within EU as we do several trips to NL), 12k per Year, cover of voluntary work (response), modifications (tyres, towbar, sidesteps) and as a bonus have also included greenlaning. The total package including EU roadside assistance (top of the range package) came to £560 with Adrian Flux. My wife is a named driver and has had a serious bump with her car and 6 points on license. With her removed it would have been £90 less

Interesting that. My wife also named driver, but more expensive by £70 if NOT on it.

I haven't tried that
She only drives the car a few times a Year as she has her own car (if it was up to me never) but it's just for those moments where she has to...

Funny that. My wife drives the Volvo all the time, I drive it only when I need to. My '89 Mini is much more fun to drive.
