How Rare is our Car ?

Thought I'd drop volvo a line yesterday to see if they could tell us how many of our car were registered in the UK

It's a C70 T5 GT Convertible in Saffron Pearl with a Brown Roof.

Closest number volvo could give us was there were a total of 107 C70 Convertibles in Saffron imported across all the model range.

Has anybody else ever seen an exact match to our car ? We've never seen another & any dealer we ever visit has never seen one either.

There is a website that lists all makes a s models off cars reg'ed with dvla I can't remover what it's called but have a look on google as it might help you

Yep Brown Roof.

When you look at Autotrader/pistonheads etc.. any saffron cars have a black roof. As far as we're aware (One Previous Owner) the car has never had a new roof.

Also haven't yet found any other T5 GT versions of our car in Saffron.

I believe that site doesn't count vehicles in Scotland (or Ireland?) which makes it pretty pointless - as you say, not AT ALL accurate.

It also rely on the dealers secretary entering the correct details on the V5 in the first place which is not unusual to get wrong. I have had at least three cars with incorrect V5s, the last one being our Toyota Surf which caused me some grief due to the LEZ and took 6 months to sort out.

It also only counts taxed or sorned vehicles and there are a large number of cars either parked up without being SORNED or scrapped without the details being sent off.

Its a rough guide, nothing more.
