Okay what about V40 drivers seat is it same size and frame runners etc as V60. As my driver's seat is filthy and has a tear. Lots of V40 ones locally.

So for the European market, the headrests in the V60 are not adjustable but for some reason in the V40, they are. So they are a bit different. Also in R design v40 has less bolstering compared to V60 so even though they might be compatible, they are not the same.

Great thanks, so otherwise a straight swap? I have Rdesign ones at present, bolster is worn on drivers.

The V40 seats would look quite weird to be honest. I suggest going on eBay and looking there. I see a lot of them available in full leather for v60/S60. I also don’t know if it’s a straight swap because if they are not, you have to bear in mind the SIPS tubes inside the seat. I assume Volvo would make it for all cars the same length to cut down on production cost, however if they turn out to be different lengths, then thats a safety issue. I suggest going on UK or German EBay and looking for people who part out V60/S60s.

Also not a huge deal but: in my V60, my seats are part alcantara and part leather and it says R design on the seats. The same seats in the V40 with alcantara and leather, doesn’t. And they are more flatter with less bolstering on all sides. I wouldn’t recommend just swapping over.
