keys
something been bugging me for a while now regarding keys. sold s40 sport 03 to mate, one day locked up the car, came back about an hour later .... nothing, tried changing battery still nothing, contacted local dealer they priced up at 900quid farse. I remember seeing somewhere might be on here, that if your near mobile phone mast it can fry inside key something like a power surge, has anybody else come across this, or an alternative. thanks

Pretty certain mobile mast could not fry an electronic board. Could be that the ntenna RC module located just above the speedometer is faulty, or that the lock alarm module under the radio has gone bad. My money would be on the antenna module, part number 30857627
