I expect it's the same one discussed in this thread:

New Airbag Recall?: MY17 cars

Something to do with the bolts holding the curtain airbags possibly coming loose.

It's nothing to worry about. Had mine done a few weeks ago and there's no trace of it having been done. There's a lot to be said for not being first in the queue, because the fitters can probably do it blindfold by now.

Exclamation Headlining

Thanks for all your replies

Didn't fancy my dealer ripping the headlining out and trying to put it back as well as at the factory
Will let u know the outcome
On another issue has anyone managed to get a space saver spare wheel for a T8
My dealer ordered one for me but what arrived was an 18" space saver for a car with 20" wheels
It would have fitted but looked stupid and probably unsafe

What did you expect a space saver to look like? All the available tyres on the XC90 are the same diameter no matter what the wheel size. They are not meant to look pretty and are to get you home and to a tyre depot only. 50mph maximum speed I think.

Ok so spacesavers on a T8.

My dealer tried at least 3 different wheels and all had some issue or other.

The conclusion we came to is that there is no spacesaver which will fit the front wheels of a T8. This is due to the brake discs being larger on the T8 than on any other model. My wheel fits the back and therefore in the event of a front puncture I would have to put a full size back wheel on the front and spare on the back.

It is also pretty big in the boot and only lies flat. If you stand it up it doesnt go under the luggage blind. I never use seats 6 and 7 but if I did I am not sure what I would do with the spare.

I have it in 2 different wheel bags from Amazon and this keeps it neat and tidy and keeps the smell of tyre away from the car.

I am not sure of the diameter but I know the dealer checked the rolling circumference and there were no issues.

If it helps let me know and I can check for the spec and part number of the wheel I have.

Cheers

That makes a front wheel puncture a job for VOC Rescue if the foam doesn't work, if only because you will need two jacks to swap the back to the front.

Front puncture.
Jack up back.
Put spacesaver on back.
Jack down back.
Jack up front.
Change front wheel.

Two wheels swapped. One jack used.

QED.

Why?
Jack up rear, change good rear to space saver, lower, jack up front, remove punctured tyre and refit with the one from the rear.

2 jacks is very dangerous
Pain to do but not difficult
