Very slow? i guess you need another 200 bhp to make it reasonable then ;-) Seriously you should have bought the T5 to start with .. might still be a cheaper option ..

tbh 200 bhp in a car that size actually isn't very quick at all, wouldn't have said it was very slow though right enough.

I have to be honest and say I know nothing about tuning the 2.0T, most people start with a T5 or a T4 as their base because if you want a faster car it's better to start with a fast car in the first place
That said what year is your car? If it's newer than 2000 maybe something like this is what you're looking for? http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com/...oducts_id=2862 Cheers, John |

Tuning a 2.0T
Hi There,
If it's any help - I've got an S60 2.0T as my daily drive and I just got the MTE Stage 1 for a bit of added quickness and it is awesome. Marco also took off the Torque Limiter in 1st and 2nd which is standard on the 2.0T and we've got pretty much Std T5 performance - which is nice, when I need it! MTE in the UK is supplied by Kalmar Union - www.kalmar-union.com If you want to check out my car any time - give me a shout I'd be happy to let you have a go. Phil

The S60 is a 2.0 5cyl (180 BHP, 240NM) where are a 163 2.0T will be the 4 cyl from a V40 (163 BHP, 240NM). I looked around when i had my V40 and I could get somewhere in the region of 230ish (again IIRC) with remaps and calibrated bleed valves. Total cost was somewhere in the region of 1000 euros. Maybe that is an avenue to look at (but I think that your cheap insurance may dissapear with it Stu |

'ello Sam, you're right.
All the C70's were 5 cylinder 20v engines, the 2.0T (163bhp), the 2.4T (193 or 200bhp) and the 2.3 T5 (240 or 245bhp). The coupe was also available as the 2.4 n/a (170bhp) or 2.5 n/a (165bhp). The top speed for the 2.0T is 130mph on the manual and 125mph on the auto IIRC. If someone has taken you out in a T5, then yes, it will seem slow by comparison Tuning wise.... Thorough Stage 0 service to start. Then you need to try and figure what you want from the car.... If you just want extra power for overtakes, easier cruising etc, then panel filter & remap (talk to Don, current price is £435 I think) should be fine, your car will have the 302mm brake setup already which is perfectly adequate for normal road use. However, if you don't have one yet, talk to Rufe and get a strutbrace. If you want to indulge in more "spirited" driving on the twisties, then get the suspension sorted first, the C70 can be a bit of a barge on standard setup, Koni FSD & Eibach setup is common, or, alternatively, the Koni adjustables are also good, but the rears are a pain to adjust. I should point out, once you start on the slippery slope to modifying, I take no responsibility for your wallet!
