Wheel Arch Covers
Before I have a go at removing my wheel arch covers to put in some sound deadening material I thought I would ask if anyone has attempted this and if so how big a job is it and is there anything I should look out for? I intend to do the front and rear.
Off to a car-breakers to buy a jack as I found this weekend that there is none in the V40 - how strange! I suppose that it is because there is no spare wheel. Any help greatly appreciated. OldCroc

Why not get a trolley jack and axle stands?
I hope you were not planning on just having a small scissor jack to support it whilst doing that? I mean a trolley jack is okay for changing wheels but for longer periods you definitely need to put axle stands under the car, more so if you are putting your head or torso or limbs under there. Additionally have you got a breaker bar and torque wrench? |

I have axle stands and breaker bar and would always use these for anything like this. What i wanted to know was whether anyone could give me some advice on the removal and replacement of the covers. I would hate to start the job and find that i need to purchase some part or other in order to replace.
