Does anybody know what this plug is for ? It is situated on the front passenger side under the left hand side carpet near the floor under the glovebox.
It looks like a coax or optical connector

The car is a XC60 2014 D5 AWD 2.4 diesel

I think it is a type of ariel connection
A fakra connection if memory is right.
Probably more to do with satnav ariel than radio

Thanks for your reply, thats interesting as I am trying to find out why my sat nav has packed up (the screen just says Navigation, Please Wait) There is no loose hanging plug to connect to this mistery socket) Do you know if there is an easy way to see whats connected to the rear of the Radio/Sat Nav unit ?
