Wanted: C30, T5 & D5 Considered
New to forum, been looking for either of these models with little success so thought I would post here to see if there are any going.
As said T5 or D5 considered, facelift or non facelift and any trim level. Ideally the mileage would be under 100k but could budge on that, any colour too. PM me if you have something, Thanks, Greg |

I drove a nice but fairly basic spec 2008 C30 T5 SE manual that Bridgend Volvo Specialist have for sale last week while they were looking at my C70. It is on Autotrader:
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...1500&logcode=p The car was very clean, felt very tight with no reason I could see not to buy it if it was what you were after. I can vouch for the dealership from my experience of the garage side of the business and I would make an exception from my "only buy from private sellers" rule to buy a car from them. |

Thanks for the suggestions! I forgot to mention it has to be manual too and if I am honest I am tending toward the T5 option, although I am finding them to be fairly rare beasts!

Unless you are doing big mileages the T5 is the better bet. I got a manual D5 as the 5 speed AW autobox is ****, however like all diesel engines it's not ideally suited to a manual and the first two gears in particular feel very short and it takes more effort than a manual T5 to drive the car smoothly around town.
I bought the D5 because I was being a skinflint but now I wish I'd got a manual T5 and just sucked up the extra £100 a month in running costs. |

Thanks for that it is very helpful to hear from a someone who has experience, how do you find the steering feedback? That is the main quip that I have heard about the car, I am planning on testing one myself to come to my own conclusion aswell

Journalists like to go on about how this that or the other car has AMAZING feedback and this other car has NONE but in my experience they are splitting hairs and for mainstream cars there is very little in it. |

Don't know if you are still looking but I've just put my C30 T5 up for sale. Nothing wrong with it, just need 5 doors now. In fact, it's in excellent condition and I've spent quite a bit on it: Saw this car on Auto Trader’s Android App. Thought you might be interested. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201602191205128
