S40 1.9d Sport for sale

Hi, it with reluctance I have to put the S40 1.9d up for sale.

The car has MOT 28th May 2015 and road tax end of November 2014 (road tax is optional).

The car has a running problem which I've started a thread on, during the week. The car does run, but is bellowing out black smoke from the exhaust. Gatos read the codes and it mentioned injectors 3 and 4, both replaced and still the same issue. From the silver sediment in the top of injector no2, I believe its the high pressure fuel pump.

The has had a new alternator installed, timing belt and water pump and tensioners and alternator belt all within the last 8 thousand miles. New discs and pads all road, new front drop links. Tyres all have plenty of tread on. I replaced the front grill with a volvo egg crate one. Rear coils were replaced this year with kilen ones. All the suspensions has been changed, rear lower arms and upper arms and bolts have been replaced. Little bits of trim have been replaced inside and out.

The car does run and drive, but I wouldn't drive it any long distance.

The car is located in Sittingbourne, Kent ME10

Im selling as spares or repairs.

I'd buy it just for parts at that price, but would probably get it running perfect again if I'd the time to work on it. Good luck with the sale

Hi thanks, I may weigh the car in. The exhaust smoke smells of coolant and burnt oil now. And only just drives.

If anyone wants it for £225 Ono. let me know.

If not I will remove the grill and anything else anybody wants. But the car still has to drive.

How much for the grille? I need one to replace the awful aftermarket grille on my V40!

Hi if the car doesn't sell on eBay, I'll take off the grill and anything else. A person (not from on the forum) said they wanted the car, but never arrived on Saturday?! There is only about 4 hours left on the auction. I'll let you know.
