Buy the coolant from Volvo. It's the proper spec and is very competitively priced

Any longlife HOAT coolant will be fine. Volvos is comparatively expensive but easier to get hold of.

^^^WHS^^^

Long life is usually red, readily available. Do NOT mix it with blue.....

Think you missed the word comparatively. 5L RTU of Comma G05 is £17 (£3.40/L) versus £5/L for RTU from Volvo. Thats 32% cheaper, and my comment clearly holds true. This also applies to concentrated, which is about £6.80/L from Volvo, or £4/L for the G05. That's 41% cheaper.

G05 is the OE HOAT for GM, Ford, and Mercedes. It's going to be at least on par quality wise, and meets all the specifications. It's certainly not going to need replaced often at all, especially considering GM, Ford, and Merc use it as a 'lifetime' coolant.

Mine had pink when I bought it but my mechanic changed it to blue when he changed the water pump a few years ago. Is blue ok in these cars?
