Volvo Specialists in Wigan ?

Hi peeps...

Any one know, use or recommend a volvo specialist in the Wigan area ??

My '51 plate V70 has had a tantrum on the motorway today, lost all oil pressure and now the engines Knocking like a B*$$***d :-(
Made worse by the fact i bought it yesterday !!!

hiya, there is a place in wigan called classic volvo. they area breakers but i don't know if they do repairs etc. they have a shop on e-bay, best way is to do a search on there. hope this helps.

There's quite a few round Wigan - Woodside Motors at Platt Bridge, Bryn Motor Company (but I think they just do sales) and another one at Platt Bridge I can't remember the name of.

I hear good things about Walkdens of Chorley if you want to go a bit further afield.

Cheers guys, as soon as i get the money from the "trader" who sold me the car, im gonna get it done.

Prob gonna use the volvo breakers in preston, not far from where i work. seem cheap enough and can do it well quick

Had my cambelt and aux belt replaced yesterday on the D5, slightly overdue at 102,000.

Bryn Motors did an excellent job, clean workshop, helpful attitude - ask for Paul.

Volvo's in the workshop, and outside for sale. All in, a very professional setup, recommended.

Calderbanks in Platt bridge (Graham Calderbank) I think he specialised in Volvos, he got a big sign up with an 854 touring car there so I assume so

No calderbanks aren't Volvo specialists, fell for that one myself. Woodside motors are Really good, I always take my cars there when I get stuck,friendly family run company... Oh and no I don't work for them,lol.

I found Woodsides to be arrogant ar*e wipes and extortionate, maybe its just me, but hang on, no I took a forum member there and they treated him like dirt too, maybe cause im not a Northener eh?
