Default C70 juddering help.

After having my accident damage repaired by a Volvo main dealer they advised me that the brake caliper is sticking (hence the horrible juddering when im driving). Just wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction. i.e. what is the best way to find out which caliper is sticking and when i find which caliper it is what is the easiest way to solve the caliper sticking problem? Thanks.

Check for blueing on the brake discs (sticking calipers will cause the brake disc with the sticky caliper to overheat).

Also you could take the car for a general drive (not driving fast etc, just normal/steady). As you pull up at home again, check which brake disc is noticably hotter than the others. You may be able to smell the offending corner, if not a quick touch of the brake disc should be sufficient.

As for the repairing the caliper, IMO its just so much easier to buy an OE refurbished unit from the likes of Eurocarparts. IIRC my C70 T5 caliper was about £58.

To repair, it could be a issue with the piston seals, spindle thats seizing etc......
