Also some wires required. Xc90 will fit only xc90 units. They only exchangeable between xc70/s60/s80/v70.

that would be really helpful thanks.

another idea i had is replacing the radio head unit with a built in touch screen that allows satnav dvd ipod ect. is this simple enough or will an aftermarket head unit not be compatable with the exsisting radio? i know a double din facia plate is avalable so i dont think mounting will be an issue. but how well does it connect up?

You'll need the following parts

1. Motorized screen
2. Screen Bracket
3. Centre speaker - the screen bracket may come with this (2nd hand)
4. DVD player
5. Control pad on steering.
6. Steering wheel - Your old steering will have the area marked on the inside of the steering wheel where the control pad should fit. Just take your time cutting this area will save $$$ on a new steering.
7. 2 wiring looms 8685790 and 8676216
8. GPS Antenna.
9. Trim plate around the screen.

The two wiring looms cost me $150 for the pair here in canada.... No other parts are needed.

PM your email and I'll send you the install instructions it was pretty simple to do. I did four of these after market installs when I was living back in England on S60 /XC90's..... I've done 2 here excluding mine in the last 1 year managed to source the parts on ebay total cost on parts $500.
