Default Odd Headlight (Low Beam) problem

(Well, I think it's odd anyway).

Driver's side headlight not working. I have tested the bulb and a replacement and both work fine hooked to the battery. I have tested the fuse and that is fine too (I swapped it for a new as well just in case). I tested the two prongs of the socket with my multimeter and that has correct current with light switch on. However, when I plug a bulb into it no joy. I can only speculate that the current cuts as soon as the bulb is plugged in.

Anyone point me in the right direction here. Would be much appreciated particularly with Winter nights drawing in

You are only measuring voltage on the socket, i suspect its one of the CEM relays has failed.
Have a look in the articles section or search for a guide on how to check further and change them

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into that.
