Default Hanger

This is a fairly common problem I guess...

My TDI had an advisory on the MOT regarding the rear hanger (that was all !!)

What have people done to resolve ?

Thanks.

Have a look at repair kits such as This One but check the diameter of the pipe it's going over to ensure it will fit as PFV make a number of different repair kits for that bracket - Mike

The bracket above looks like it goes above the pipe but has less of a bend than the picture. Will it hold the pipe at the same height?

It doesent have as much of a dip in the middle as the original though so I guess it will be about the same.

Personally if it were me .... I wouldn't weld it at all i'd just Fabricate a bracket to fit between the rubber mounts & "Sit" the exhaust on it ... (With some Heat Proof Sound deadening material of course to stop any Rattles)
