Default C70 starter motor

How easy or difficult is changing a starter motor on a 2006 hard top C70 2.4i petrol. Mine is getting very tempremental. it is taking about 6 turns of the key to get the solenoid to kick in and turn the motor.

When you turn the key, if you're getting nothing for a few goes, the little 12v plug on the starter may just need removing and the contacts filing or cleaning.
Try that before spending time and money.

i will try that first thanks

I have not looked under the bonnet yet so not even sure where the starter mounts on this car. Is it easier to access it from underneath the car?
