Interior trim question
Hi Folks,
My partner has just bought a 2011 C30. It’s in great condition overall except for a large patch of wear on the auto shifter gate top surface (the black piece of trim with P/D/R etc), where the finish has been worn off and is now translucent. You can just see it in the attached picture in the top left of the gear selector. Does anyone know if this is replaceable trim, or is it integral to the shifter unit? Thanks Chris Last edited by C30D5Driver; Mar 8th, 2022 at 12:18. |

If you look at this how-to over from swedespeed you can see that it's the face plate of the shifter unit. It's detachable after a bit of work to get to it but whether a replacement is obtainable on its own is a different question that I can't answer.
If it were me, I'd look into vinyl wrapping it. |

Thanks, I saw that and after a lot of googling it looks like you can get the plastic facia itself (but so far only in American sites). I’ve got some part numbers so I’ll see what my local Volvo dealer can turn up.
