deeper tyres on an XC90

I have an XC60 now - 18inch wheels and I really like how the tyres bulge out and are bigger than most curbs. After lord knows how many times I've touched the curb or hit a pot hole they don't have a mark on them.

I'm now looking at newish XC90 T8s and they have skinny tyres and the rims stick out wider the tyres pretty much. I can't imagine they offer much comfort either. What are my options please? Which wheels fit which cars - do they all end up with the same tyre circumference? Thanks

XC90s can go as low as 18 inch.

XC90 T8s can go as low as 19 inch but only certain 19s fit over the brake disks. So the 10 spoke ones don't fit but the 6 spoke ones do.

Mine is on 19s and the wheels are almost mint even after 160k miles.
