Default E head injector ports

Can anyone recommend a good way to block off the E head injector ports so I can use carbs?

Drop a penny down it then follow it with JB Weld or similar epoxy putty.

There's also a dude in the US who makes these block-off plugs, they are designed to fit the OHC engines so I have no idea if they'll work with the older OHV designs.
