How many tyres...?
Hi there,
Thought I'd share my S60R tyre related experiences. I bought the car about 20 months ago, in that time (18,000 miles) I have gone through... wait for it... 20 tyres. The original Pirelli's were changed within the first two weeks - worn out and got a puncture. (4 - if that counts) Relaced with Dunlop SP? couldn't get anything else - they were totally useless, every time the car went over a bump the rear would just snap out (much, much worse than the usual issue in comfort mode) and the front would wander all over the place at speed. Replaced these quite quickly. That's 8 Set of Michelin Pilot Sport's next - I like these (used to have them on my old V70R). That's 12 Got a puncture, replace both the rears. That's 14 Hit one of those old style metal drains (sticking out from the curb) and destroyed both tyres on the nearside. 16 Just about to replace the set with p-zero's as there seems to be shortage of PS2's at the moment - I'll be keeping two of the PS2's in storage though. 20 So, 900 miles per tyre. Think my racing slicks have returned better results than that! Oh well, good laugh, 2000 miles on the Autobahn probably didn't help either. Huw

Yeah, PS2's are always my first choice. The car obviously likes them as well, as it's refusing to allow the last wheel to be removed.
Blooming locking nut has sheared Can't drill the hardened steel and there's not enough meat to force a socket on. Damn man, oh well, let the dealer sort it out. Huw
