Question Volvo S40 2.0D 2007 Crank no Start!

Hello, I have a 2007 S40 2.0D D4204T2 with a crank no start fault. I have checked all the usual stuff fuel, air filter blocked, EGR blanked off, fuses, wiring,
the only fault code i have is a heater plug relay fault, The High Pressure Pump is reading 4700psi = 325Bar on the scan tool, cracked the nut off the pump just to see if there is anything coming out all i have is just a dribble removed the pressure sensor off the pump and cleaned still no start are there any other test i can perform before i send the pump away for testing?

What's the background?
Was it working fine yesterday and now this or has it been getting worse starting over time?

What's the rpm during cranking?
What is the coolant temp?

Its a farmers vehicle so I'm guessing poor fuel has gone through the system at some point!! Iv been told its been running rough for a while and just cut out. its been around a few garages before i was asked to look at it so I'm checking everything just incase somethings been left off, i can get it to run on easy start then cuts out as soon as i stop spraying into the intake, coolant temp, can't remember the exact number but its not a minus figure.

Could be red diesel then. Have you changed the fuel filter ?

Dont think the battery has gone dead flat between it stopping and coming to me but i will ask just incase, the fuel filter has been replaced and blead through when the engine is running on easy start theres no movement in the transparent fuel lines which is making me think high pressure fuel pump

Although pre-heater plugs are not really necessary on modern high pressure systems these days, I have a feeling their functionality will affect the ecu and fuel delivery. Have you checked relay ?
Someone much smarter than me may know that.
Also you need to find out whether the pressure readings you gave are right.

When mine did this it was a dodgy injector, replaced it with a second hand one out of a mondeo and it's been fine now for over 12 months.
You need to do a leak off test on the injectors
Hope this helps
