Default T4 boost control valve

Has anyone ever had any issues with theres?are they known for breaking or not working properly

Not a clue. Some seem to have problems, others will run for years with no issue. Sounds a bit like power supplies we get at work from China. Some are good, some ain't so good...

Doesnt sound very comforting lol.What are the symtoms of a knackered valve?

The ones that I have had go on me have resulted in the car not boosting above 0.5bar. Having seen a previous thread though, it may give rise to massive and uncontrolled boost spikes which cause catastrophic engine damage (bent rods....)

Apparently, some BCS's will emit a "ticking" sound if you listen after the car has been driven hard. Personally, how you hear that with a hot turbo and exhaust that is contracting like mad, I don't know.....!

I heard that can not deliver full boost like when your putting your foot down and giving it some it splutters and holds back also

Also out of interest how much were the coil packs by them selfs?
