Rear passenger door powerless.....
Hi All,
I have a 63 plate V60 estate and the rear door (passenger side) is not working. there appears to be no power (as no light for the door lock) and windows/lock not working. So a brief history, it was sitting for several months on a driveway and when cleaning it the rear window was sticking, thought nothing more. Then after a few weeks of use the door appeared to lose power, it was unlocked and no window movement when/etc. Then one day suddenly came back into life, locked and wouldnt unlock, a PITA as the door panel couldnt be removed Not a problem (rarely use the door anyhow) but it unlocked one random time so i removed the panel quick, so i had access to the internals. From that point it locked and nothing further. I have had a look around the loom (as best as could) and connections and all seem ok. I have checked fuses and they are good, and bought a new door module (same ID) from ebay as some say this can work but no joy. When i remove the plug from the door or disconnect the module the car says that the door is open, so there is some sort of life/connection going on and there is sound out of the speaker. So I am after any advice/tips from people, it seems to be common so what/where shall i look, anything i can try or do or check? or a pinout so can check power? I have seen some quotes online for a fix and would prefer to try others before the £'s people have said they have spent to fix. |

Ok, so as this was an MOT fail i took it to a local auto electrician, found the signal wire canbus was broke, so did whatever they did to fix/repair and all working.
3hrs labour and about £180 for the fix. |

Forgot to ask specifics, they just said repair and replace loom and trace damagaed wiring due to no canbus signal and the problem was entirely down to that one wire.
However from previous googling i would put money on it could be where the wires are cable tied by the front door in the rubber part between the door and the car as that crops up loads and appears to be a common issue. |

Thanks for this, my issue seems slightly different but I guess could be the same cause.
Unlock car with fob, door doesn't open from outside but does from inside. Lock car with fob, door doesn't lock until deadlocks drop after 10 seconds. Open again with fob, door opens from outside. Lock car using driving auto lock or door switch, door locks. Try to open with switch or fob, door only opens from inside. Any thoughts welcome.
