Default Specing up a V60 - am I mad ?

All,
I have my finger poised over the "order this car" button on my online ordering system for a V60 EST 13 2.4D5 R-D LX NV. This is the 120co2 version of the D5 - with Start Stop - and is a manual.

Solid Paint - Passion Red
R-Design Leather Faced Upholstery - Off Blck-CermcL
Front/Rear Park Assist Upgrade
Winter Pack With Active Bending Lights
Driver Suport Pk M+Rain Sensor/Fld Dr Mr
Dark Tinted Windows
High Perfrmnce Multimedia Audio Sys+8Spk

As this spec has the Drivers pack which includes the adaptive cruise - does this work with the manual box ?

Adding the Auto box option would up the cost by about another £50 per month.

I know its horses for courses, but is there anything thats a pure waste given the config ? (ie the ACC and manual box) - or is everthing OK? I'm assuming that as the ordering system is letting me add the above - then everything is good to go.

ACC will work fine with a manual box. Lots of torque with the D5 so will pull from low revs.

I test drove a manual D5 XC60 with ACC, had no issues at all.

If it's a leased car - often metallic paint adds nothing to the cost. I'm unsure which model you're basing this on. Is it a D5 R Design or a D5 SE lux ?

Default VOC Optional Extra

The only "extra" I missed out on my below high spec XC60 was "Volvo on Call". Being a techie I would have loved to be able to assess my car from my iPhone and use all the built in functionalily including: locating your car when you forget which street you parked it on, remote unlocking/locking, levels check, etc. etc

I also went for the solid colour as the lease costs added £15 / month for metallic which is not normal and not worth it for me as none of the metallics were stand out colours. I would not go for the driver support pack but that is a personal choice, I went for DAB which you did not so that is a case of horses for courses. I nearly went for tinted windows but my wife laughed at me when I suggested it so I backed down. I wished I hadn't now.

£50 a month for an automatic seems a lot but if having an automatic is a big deal to you that should end that debate.

Press the button and feel no shame.

Company car 2 year lease. Only metallic I was tempted by was the Copper - nice to see every now and again, not sure I could live with it.

The car is the D5 R-Design Lux Nav.

Thanks Slickfingers - but I'm getting the car as a company car - so no need to purchase

Isnt it incredible how much dealers are reducing cars by these days ? The spec I had above ... was list price of £35k - dealer immediately offered it to me for £27k.

Volvo must either be desperate for sales, or I just found a great salesman!

Try doing that at an Audi or BMW dealer and it will take them 3 days to stop laughing. My V60 is going to be leased and the Volvo lease deal is a mile below other mfrs at the moment.

There are not many of this model out on the road and they may be trying to push them so that they are out there being seen. They are a great looking car and once people see them I am sure the sales will grow. They may be treating them almost as a loss leader at the moment to get the momentum going. Anyway we are the ones who are benefiting so I am not complaining, I'm sure you are not either.
