B230FK crankcase breather part numbers
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone could help. Looking to order a new pcv breather box and the seals to go with it from Volvo. Could anyone supply me a diagram of the system with the parts number or let me know which parts they are? Car is B230FK 97 940. Thanks |

Is this what you're after?
No.1 The part number should be good with Volvo here. I ordered one myself not too long ago. The thing had gone really brittle. |

Seal
I just replaced seal no. 2 on my 98 LPT two years ago. I first mistook it for a copper ring as it was rock hard. Why change the breather box? Can you see any cracks? It is just a box and quite easy to clean out. Be careful when taking off the box that you do not pull pipe 9 out of the block. It has a lip you can use to push it down when removing the breather box.
Some pictures: https://www.flickr.com/photos/lamyc/...7611374793244/ My 98 LPT does not have EGR, so the breather box as fairly easy to reach by removing the air intake manifold nuts and bend it sideways. |

Hi Matty,
This old thread is worth a re-visit on this topic. http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=121514 Not a difficult job. I did mine a couple of years ago and probably due for a revisit to see how its clogged up again - mine was solid. Good luck, LeeP |
