Default Actuator setting question

I have had a new OEM Volvo actuator fitted several weeks ago now, also had an IPD recirc valve split and replaced with a Forge Motorsport Piston type unit (nothing was wrong with old unit, just wanted a new one to hand should it have been faulty). My car is almost 100% but something needs a bit of fine tuning.

The opening pressure/the pressure that my actuator should be set to as per Volvo guidelines is 4.35psi/30Kpa. Mine has been set to around 6.5psi. What issues occur or what are the effects of having the actuator set higher than its supposed to be? (considering it is a new unit and not an old one that has worn).

I had this on my car, when it was mapped, they upped the setting to 7.6psi, that gives you more low down grunt as the wastegate opens later,
I have now reset it too 4.6psi, it does feel a little slower but at least i know the car is set correctly,

Siamblue - thanks for that information. Based upon your information, the issue must rest with something like a pipe etc perhaps being nudged whilst working on the recirc valve and nothing to do with the actuator or its settings.

Sorted, as I thought, it turned out to be a a minor bend on one of the pipes from the compressor housing to the TCV but not quite a kink. After rectifying this, all is well.
