Default 142E Exhaust Manifold

After getting my 142E home, I did some investigating into the horrible noise it was making. I discovered that the exhaust manifold has a very large (1", goes around the pipe width-wise, not length-wise) crack in it. It sounds like hell, but runs well.

Now, I have a couple of questions. Firstly, am I correct to assume a manifold from a B20B will fit on a B20E? Secondly, aside from the noise (and the neighbors being angry with me...) , are there any ill-effects of driving with said crack in the manifold? I'm particularly worried about burning the valves.

The manifold needs to be a seperate one or you could cut off the inlet part from a carb manifold. Personaly I would do the right thing and fit a 4 branch manifold.

You are not very likely to burn out a valve but it is possible. The worst thing is all the fumes coming into the cabin
