Default What's this sensor / valve ?

On the right side of the engine, between it and the airbox, there's a valve (?) with three small hoses attached and a 2-pin connector. What's it for ?
I'm asking because the hoses look pretty bad...

In addition to a picture the year, trim level / engine size would be extremely helpful.

When you get to changing any hoses on this thing remember it's better to make a cut with a razor knife lengthwise down the barb fitting rather than "grab and twist". You don't want to break a fitting off.

Are the 3 hoses the same size? Kira

Pretty sure what you are talking about is the vacuum hose valve.

If it's the TCV, it might explain why sometimes boost seems to leave the house...

Do TCV's get serviced in any way? ...a light oiling or cleaning?
Do they ever just break? Kira

They do die, but they can usually be either full of soot, especially if the engine/turbo is using oil, or just can't function properly if hoses coming to/off of them are split/torn somewhere. Or both...

Carb bleaner and replacing hoses might just give you back your boost...
