Default 940 Leccy Windows and Roof

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the add on here!

Bought myself a really cheap 940SE 2.3 Turbo "barge" (estate) at the weekend to use as a daily wagon.

Needed a new/reconditioned turbo which I have just sourced and will fit when it arrives as the old one's water jacket was well and truly lunched!

I know it will now go through its MOT (already went for an MOT it and the smokey blower was to blame for emmisions).

HOWEVER only thing left to get this ole girl back up is that the electric windows and roof don't seem to be working.

Fuses seem ok, have even tried swapping... Haven't taken switched off yet, but seems a little strange that both windows and roof aren't working...

Car was without a battery/power for a few months, so before I start testing motors and power at switched, is there anything I should know? Forgive me I am a BMW man, not too clued up with the knick-knacks of these Swedish Beauties.

Please help guys, it will be much appreciated.

Billy

What did he just say? lol

If fuses are fine, probably motors and wiring are too. Take the switches out, carefully pry them apart and clean the contacts inside. Should work as a charm.

Though...first replace fuses anyway, eventhough they seem fine.

This has worked well for me. Sometimes you need to bend the little "V" shaped contact on the inside too.
