Dreaded core plug has gone - D5 auto
Finally have the car presentable and wake up to find a large puddle of oil under her 🙄
Leaking between the block and the auto gearbox. Going to lift the engine out and change it. Is the crank seal the same for autos and manuals? Need to buy: Core plug Main seal TC bolts Anything else? How much different is it compared with doing a manual? Thanks guys |

If the rear crankshaft seal is dry leave well alone , you don't want to do that job twice if you don't insert the new seal properly ! it needs the special tool to get it right .
