Revs not dropping during gear change
Hi All
while changing gear in my manual 855R the revs will hang for about three seconds before dropping. Is that normal? Just to add the car is not very non-standard with amongst other things a Rica programmed ECU; could it be part of this re-map? Thanks |

RE: Revs not dropping during gear change
Hi Andy,
Sticky throttle normally causes this. Need to oil all the linkages etc. There are no shut throttle parameters changed on your map. Adam. |

RE: Revs not dropping during gear change
I had a sticky throttle cable on my auto which made moving away smoothly a hit & miss affair! Spray some WD40 etc down the cable & behold at the difference!

RE: Revs not dropping during gear change
Another part which causes this is the Air idle valve it getts stuck and can cause this to happen. Its situated on top of the throttle body its a small canaster with a pipe comming out of it and has a eletrical wire fitting plugged into it.
I had my one off the car before cleaned it with a electrical cleaner until i could hear the small door opening and shutting inside the module. If you take it off dont smalder it with cleaner as the electrical parts might get wet and fail. leigh 98 S70 R 99 S70 T5 |
