Default 17 Inch Steel Citreon Wheels - Volvo dome wheel covers?

Hi,

It's getting around that time of year that I will starting to think about putting my winter steel wheels on. My winter set are the 17-inch Citroen steel wheels which fit the Volvo quite nicely, the only issue is that they leave the wheel nuts exposed.

What I want is something like this link here.... Does anyone know of steel centre caps which clip over the wheel nuts? I've previously looked for the Volvo Classic-style ones, but they look like they clip onto the steel rim.

Any help or guidance would be highly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

T

Thank you for the reply. I already have winter tyres on the steel wheels. Just looking for the dome-style wheel caps to cover the wheel nuts and the exposed bearing caps.

Hey Tireth, it might be worth looking in to what the VW crowd do as they love domed stainless wheel trims for big banded steel wheels on beetles/campers, they might have something available.

I was checking some VW sites, and it looks like they have a combination of steel wheels that go with the domes, but they're not cheap! I'll take some measurements of the steel wheel and see if I can find something that works which might be used on VWs.

We used to have an old Merc Vito Van (W638) and the covers just used to clip around the wheel nuts which made them simple.

Thank you again for the suggestion, I guess I need to spend some more time delving into the Vee-Dub world.

I've seen it done on one of the facebook groups. Can't remember the group or posters name but it's 100% been done before. Sorry I can't recall the details but it's worth a look there too.

These ones list the diameter so you can atleast see if they will be somewhere near fitting.
