Smile Forthcoming Events June and July

The next planned meeting of the Scottish Section is to be held at Strathclyde Park on SUNDAY 7th JUNE at 13:00, this was planned to allow members to have a spring clean of car parts and take them along to sell/exchange with other members, you never know someone might just have that part you have been searching for ! Things will have to be done discreetly, as the council will not be happy if we do not have a licence for selling.
Unfortunately, I will miss this event, due to a late holiday plan, so if anyone has any good 240 parts, you know where I stay !!

SUNDAY 5th JULY is the 'Pre-67 Ford Owners Club' Show at Bridge of Allan, and is a good venue to have a Club Stand, if you are interested in attending and putting your car on show please let me know by 15th JUNE. Cars need not be 'concourse' for this event, but clean and tidy on the day, as it is a club stand there is no age limit, we will need to have at least 8-10 cars to make this event worthwhile.

Thank you,
Kevin.

Aye, I was quick today. Mine is in a bit of a state too, oil and copper grease all over the inside....and it will just get worse. Lets hope there will be some nice "cleaning" weather next week. Can't be having the worst 850 there, now can I?

aye they are mucky buggers, mines covered in dust and muck from the road ( they drive to a different garage for MOT's) it was washed, rubbers cleaned, metal polished best it can be and all waxed up. now it looks like its not been touched in weeks. and to add to that the little bar stewards round here have dented the bonnet and the pass side wing! un, fking, beleveable. ive had way more than enough of this.. so i may have the worst looking 700 of the day.. so dont feel too bad about yours

Basingstoke for this one? i would of been intrested (can get a caravan, just need to find a tow bar) but the distance, + towing and automatic means stupidly high expences.. maybe next time if its more up this way.

Enough of this hardship - man was not meant for hotels. Just let her get to sleep and sneak out the window to the camp site - oops, I didn't realise it was on the third floor ...

have strathclyde penciled in at present. may not make it due to lack of funds as well as most of my money going into a holiday- a week in orkney by glt...

Kevin: have emailed you but unsure if you got it?!
Miss GBP can do Bridge of allan, provided its not tooo shabby? just the rear arches and dented wing that let it (and our club stand) down... will be cleaned and waxed on site though.

still not selecting gears... fingers crossed that its sorted tomorrow night...

Nick
