Default V70 dog cage

Hi all. I am getting another V70 at the end of next month and am after a dog cage. I have seen the Barjo ones on ebay and they seem extremely expensive. Does anyone have any recommendations as to makes, or are there any universal ones which work just as well and fit snugly in place? I am after one for a large Labrador sized dog.

Many thanks in advance

I'm considering this.

I recently bought a genuine dog guard and had intended to give my god free reign of the boot. However, what I didn't realise until I came to fit it (when it became quite obvious) was that the original guard doesn't fit if there are 7 seat conversion belts fitted.

I dot often use the extra seats but they do come in handy at times so I don't want to remove them. Therefore, I'm thinking of going for the trivall solution and just remove it when the extra seats are required.

If you are able to be patient I would keep looking for a second hand barjo, but for the best result you need both the front and rear gaurds. We have a barjo tailgate guard and a Volvo front guard, but the border collie managed to get past the side of the Volvo guard into the passenger compartment so I had to add extra side bars!
Our car is 7 seat and the rear seat belt brackets needed a bit of adjustment! Not recommended obviously, but possible.

When you say front and rear guard I assume you mean a full cage as such?

Not really. Barjo do a dog guard to fit behind the rear passenger seat and a tailgate guard that fits in front of the tailgate and has a gate to allow the dog access, the dog then has all of the luggage compartment. The Volvo dog guard is folding and sprung loaded against the back seats. A determined dog can get passed it, but it's handy if you often have the seats folded.
