Running an 850R as a second car
Hi all
I'm new to this group. My last car was a Volvo 854 2.0 20v. I parted with it a couple of years ago but fancy another Volvo. I have a Toyota Yaris 1.4D which I intend to keep for bobbing about but fancy a 854R as a fun car. How easy [expensive] is it to insure one on a limited miles policy, say 4000 PA? Any other comments welcome. Thinking of spending up to £3000. Will I get something good for that money? No old dogs wanted. Thanks Last edited by Gary Blackburn; Jun 15th, 2006 at 07:52. |

the other option would be to get a std 850t5 (£2000+) as the only difference really between the r's is the styling. and if your gonna mod the car then most of the different mechanical bits get changed anyway.

The 850R has, amongst other things, a stronger bottom end and also larger injectors I belive.

only the manual 850r is different, the autos are the same as the t5's.
