Default oil pressure light

Hi all, my first post here! I just bought a volvo v70 T5 2000 with 103k on the clock. The oil pressure light was on so I had it looked at by an indy. The sump was cleaned, all o-rings and seals replaced, oil pick up cleared. Light came back on.. Then I had the oil pump replaced, and an additive was added to the engine(dissolver). Oil light came on about 10 minutes after starting. However, I have now driven it for over a 100 miles and light stays off. Am I in the clear now? Also have to do the ETM clean + software upgrade. Can someone tell me why the oil light came back on although it stays off now?

Many thanks

Default BTW, light was on when driving

Not just when idle as is described quite often in this forum.

Thanks

What was the problem with the engine for it to be replaced?

The engine was badly maintained, therefore a lot of sludge in the block(top+bottom). You can clean it but I was fed up and decided enough is enough. Also, you never know what damage has been done due to lack off oil pressure. I need peace of mind, which I will have with a very good new engine and an additional 6 month warranty.
