Default Pop and a bang

Driving my XC90 (06 plate, face lift model D5) up a steep hill over the weekend I was faced with a loud pop followed by an immediate loss in power and a heavy hissing from the engine bay (engine was cold, we had only set off a few minutes earlier).

I'm guessing there is a problem with a boost hose or something similar, but any pointers would help at this stage. Engine/car does run, but with a lot of noise and struggles to maintain constant/controlled rev's. There doesn't appear to be any problems at the front with no obvious air leaks from hoses and inter cooler at the front.

I haven't successfully read codes yet, struggling to get an app that will read codes as Carista says there are no faults. Engine system message is up on the dash.

Most likely is that the plastic turbo hose has blown off the turbocharger underneath the car . It is the black plastic pipe which goes from the turbo under the engine to the front of the engine , The plastic securing brackets break too so you will need a new pipe complete . .
OR a hose has burst ...

Spot on. Thanks for the heads up. It helped to have something to go on before it went on the ramps.

£200 on euro car parts seems a bit dear though

I think the plastic bit (which is a resonator) can be replaced by a piece of silicon hose?
