What to do?
Guys, I need a few ideas as I'm bored and wondering what else I should do to the car.
I am wanting to: - Refurb the alloys - Swap the headlights for T4/ph2 ones - Colour code my dash and the door trim - Maybe get an induction kit or just sawp the panel filter - Get the boot spoiler painted and fitted - Find an exhaust, either custom or already made - Maybe fit HIDs - Get a square plate for the front - Get some strut braces - Get an egg crate grill from the ph2 Does anyone else have any ideas? I'm kinda stuck...

On the bumpers? I have thought of that but I dunno how much it would cost to do. Sounds like another good thing to do to the car

Having seen one, DON'T get a square number plate. It looks hideous and alters the balance of the front. Badly. As for strut braces, front I would agree with but rear will become a pain in the backside if you use the boot much. What are you looking for from the exhaust - performance, looks, or both? Full system, cat back, or just back box? |

Swap your suspension for evo 2,youll have to change lower wishbones so your antiroll bar link attaches to the wish bone, got all the bits to do mine just wish it would stop rainning.

Remove door mouldings! It's free but be warned its hard work getting the glue off!
Just get the grill painted black, in my opinion it'll looks better than a egg crate grill! Have you changed the side repeaters for clear ones yet? |

As for the braces, The front would be good and a rear would be nice, but it would be a pain as I sometimes flatten the seats so maybe not rear but defo front. The suspension I won't touch as it is already lowered 40mm when I got the car and I know how much of a pain it is to swap and that. Matching the bonnet would be an idea but I'm never going to change that cause it's different to any other Volvo I've seen so the bonnet stays as it is. As for the exhaust, I'm looking for something beefy that is Cat-back. I had a vectra before and it was loud and just chavvy so I want something that will have a beefy but not chavvy noise. I've heard the Ferrita exhaust on a 2.0T and that sounded nice but I would like twin pipes still which I've seen the Jetex does, but is it a good exhaust? The side repeaters are clear, they came with the car when I got it I didn't know if there was anything else I could do so I thought I would ask you guys what you think

Two Suggestions
As above, a couple of ideas to ponder...!
I had a Jetex on my old 2.0LPT a while back and it was a good system. The car is still going and the exhaust is still on it after 7 years and 70k miles. It gives a sporty sound when on the move, but isn't chavvy and quite quiet when idling. Personally, I didn't like the twin pipes, but that's just preference! My current T4 just has a single round exit now. As regards a strutbrace for the front, your options are a little wider than it may first appear. Anything from an ECO 4/5/6 will fit, though you will most likely have to lower the fusebox, or accept that the brace has to come off to access it. And as for whether a brace with a fixing on the bulkhead will fit the S40, I don't know as I ain't tried it. I had an adjustable OMP on the above car and it did make a big difference (tighter handling and less wear on the tyre shoulder). Cheers |

I might try and find a strut brace. btsam has a really nice one with Mitsubishi on it, and it looks really good, but I'm not too fussed about the fusebox as the brace looks like its easily taken off to get access. But hey, it's a Volvo so the likelyhood of a fuse going isn't much if you look after it I really love your T4, gorgeous colour did you use a universal backbox at one point?
