Default 4 x 18 inch capellas

Need a refurb but from what I can see sound

Currently attached to an 02 2 litre S60 2.0T, 172k manual, pale metallic green, MOT til Jan 21st, V good all round condition runs like a dream save DIM needs attention ( those in the know will know £50 -100 to sort and yes I have quotes in writing to this effect ) , Main dealer serviced for approx. 10 years ( stamps in book ) thereafter independent ( I have receipts )

Looking for £500 the lot - WHAT A BARGAIN I HEAR YOU SAY !

Any reasonable offer considered now that the T5 has another year's ticket.

Another Lakes Autos success story !!!

Located variously London / Bury St Edmunds

Steve

Most unlikely as set out in my post, with another years ticket on the T5 Tony the S60 is surplus to requirements and so has to go before MOT due in Jan / I get the oil leak on the V70 sorted. Possible but unlikely unless you are gonna make me a silly offer - like the £600 for 4 I recently saw on the bay - er unlikely !

Admire your taste though they are a fantastic looking alloy !

For what it is worth the tyres on them are mid range at best but with good tread.

Not to worry - worth a shot. If I didn't have two other Volvo's I'd buy your S60 as well and swap the wheels!

So we are both in a similar boat !

There is some chance Tony will end up at Lakes on a very open arrangement. I would hate to see him scrapped but for reasons I do not begin to understand these baby's simply do not sell. seemingly both Bernard and Barry despise 18 inchers so I will keep you in mind and give you first dibs as you are the only person to have shown any interest. To this end I am surprised but there is no accounting for taste !

All the best

That would be a shame! The used car market is a strange old world. Perhaps if I were to find a spare set of wheels we could come to a part-ex/swap agreement or something? Though that would depend on timescales as you may need to get the car gone. What sort of condition are they in considering you state they need refurbing?

Steve
If you send me an email address I shall be happy to send you images. I am in no immediate rush to get rid of tony but the position will change once I get the oil leak and cambelt sited on the 70 and / or MOT expires end jan

I hope i'm not treading on any toes here!!!

Can I ask a couple of Q's ref the car? I understand this is at the lower end of the market so aren't expecting the world! However, I am potentially in the market for a new train station/kid collecting hack and this sounds interesting.

Do you use it daily at the moment?
What, in your opinion may need attention prior to the MOT in Jan?
Any idea how old the clutch is?
On your travels do you come up the M/A11? I am south of Cambs and would be able/willing to meet to have a look at it.

I'm interested at the moment, that is all and would probably have to buy the missus some new shoes to get it past her! I would appreciate a bit more info tho.

What is the depth roughly on the rubber all around?

Cheers
Ritch
(If I did end up with it i'd prob be willing to discuss a wheel deal as quite frankly I couldn't care less what type are on it!!!)

Rich
Mot's are if course a law unto themselves but there is nothing obviously wrong save the DIM needs sorting as I have already mentioned. Tyres are good ( will come back to you when I get a look in daylight ) brakes and handbrakes are super, slight ding in one of the front wings owise exterior is very good. I just do not understand why the 60 is so unpopular- nice little drive, goes like stink albeit at 30 to the gallon.

I bought the car as a project for my lad to make some money over the hols - guy who owned her knows me and decided enough was enough - computer kept screaming at him. With help from the legendary PNUT discovered it was a broken ABS ring and sensor - both replaced after many hours of investigation.

ABS service light has just come on but I have not made time to investigate - could be as simple as drivers seat wire disconnected. New clutch position sensor so cruise in full order, air con is super ( there's a shocker ) and most of the miles are motorway. Clutch is original but pulls without fault.

M11 and A11 regular trips for us as a family. Car is in London at mo, wife might be heading up Friday post school, which village are u in ? I have one pic of her showing ding in wing if u want to see pls provide email and cambelt has 18k to go before change required. Happy to discuss and happy to strike a deal with different wheels on. When you see her though you will change your mind they do look stunning, if not have little doubt the boys at Lakes happy to help us both out !

Do not hesitate to call me on 07711 669 355 if you wish to discuss. Paul

Let me have a think and I'll be in touch soon. Not in any huge rush (which I gather neither are you) as it means selling one of the others!

ABS, seat sensor? Do you mean airbag service light?
