Default My S60 R-Design has arrived.

Actually, I picked up my S60 D2 R-Design a month ago, but I've just taken the pictures today.

In terms of specs, it has got almost everything, except Sensus Connect and Front Camera.

What made me to buy a Volvo? My first answer would be (beyond known safety feautures) the simplistic and classy look of both inside and outside. I belive the principle "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication". When I sit in my Volvo I feel peace and comfort, and I'd say it is almost meditative.

Ordered manual first and then changed to automatic gear, glad I did change it, because many technologies (adaptive cruise control, queue assist) work seamlessly with automatic gear besides the known comfort of it. I'm aware that D2 is not the perfect engine for this car but no other options for me.

Have driven almost 2k and very happy so far. Especially the sport seats are extremely comfortable. The suspension is a little firm in city traffic but I knew it before the purchase, so doesn't bother me at all.

I think it is still early to judge gas usage, I will post it some time later.

I know the waiting period is difficult for future owners and one likes to see as many pictures as possible, so here you go, these are for you:

Simply Gorgeous.
Can't make up my mind if it's Sapphire black, or a very dark blue? It seems to have a blueish tint, unless it's my monitor ( or eyes even )

Really gorgeous car. Touch of the DB7's to it. Those are the nicest alloys I've seen with subtle, yet still very stylish design. Give it ten years and I may own one too! lol.

Handsome. The R-Design seats I had in an S40 a few years ago were the comfiest I have ever had and those look equally as good if not better, the material does not look slippy unlike mine.

Is the central display an extra, is it the TFT display, or is that standard now? It looks very good and worth it if it is extra.

Yes it is the TFT display which has three different themes, it's standard for 2014 R-Designs for both XC-60 and S-60.

How do you find the performance of the D2 coupled with the auto box?

Regards
