That time again folks,

The next meet is planned for 1pm on Sunday 27th September at the Falkirk Wheel.

Details below, but please note there are 2 Car Parks, so hopefully we can congregate in the same one (from the B816 side).

Thanks

The Falkirk Wheel,
Lime Road,
Tamfourhill,
FK1 4RS

See you there! Thanks

Sorry, Rossco, probably will not make this one. Current plans are to get to the gathering at RAF Cosford on that date.

Passing down your way Ian on Sunday on the new Borders Railway behind 60009, Union of South Africa (first class). Birthday gift from my daughter. Hope the sun shines.

Between Stow and Galashiels stations you will probably be held at the end of a twin track section for a northbound unit. Just after that you will pass me on the train right (new bridge over the B710 and then along the Gala Water; big paddock with 22 cattle bordered by trees; I am at the north end of the paddock). If I am at the PC I will give a wave. Enjoy the trip, whatever the weather!

I'd like to come along (hopefully in a new 740 depending on how this weekend goes!) but I'll need to wait and see how things turn out. Most of my Sunday's are busy.

It was a great trip Ian but not sure that I identified the correct paddock. I didn't count the cattle but there was a lovely big house (west side of the track) and looked like 3 or 4 terraced houses adjacent to it - nice grey stone/brickwork. I thought the bridge was after the houses and cattle. I was passed this area north bound before I remembered.
My brother and his wife were on the train also. We got off at Galashiels and had lunch in Quills. It was very good and our hostess was lovely. The Belhaven Best was good too. It wasa lovely birthday gift from my daughter. We then got the service train down to Tweedbank where we were able to get pictures of the Union of South Africa. She was looking well. Thoroughly enjoyed our day Ian in your lovely part of the world. Hope I haven't hijacked Rosco's post! Will catch up soon.

Might nip along for this if I get a chance. Never been to any of the forum meets before. I've been meaning to get out to Falkirk and see The Kelpies sometime too.
