London: - Ace Cafe Sunday 23rd November

After two years of the Norsk meeting being a mid-week evening, I asked the Ace Cafe if we could have a day-time slot and they have agreed that this years event will be on Sunday 23rd November from 10.00am onwards.

So at last we can meet in daylight!

The event is open to all Volvos (modern and classic) as well as S**bs, who we must again outnumber!

Something else to bear in mind is that weekend daytime slots at the Ace are in high demand, so we need to make a good effort for this & make sure that there is a good turnout if we want to have a similar slot for next year.

Saaamon - so far just 5 or 6.

Where abouts are you in Essex, I will be convoying with a friend in his Amazon along the A127 to the North Circ. - if you wanted to join us.

Paul is right if we want this to be an annual event we must at least fill the car park.

Here's a few pics from the Retro-Rides night, which was on a summer weekday eve:

The turnout from this (I can see at least 50 cars in those pics, & there's also the turnover at the bar

) was enough for them to offer up a summer Saturday eve slot for next year - those are in very high demand!!!!

Now I'm not saying that we need to get that number (if we can though, that would be brilliant), but tbh even just enough to fill most of the perimeter of their carpark would be a fantastic improvement on the last two Norse events (what was it - maybe 20 / 25 cars??). We don't want to go back to a winter weekday evening timeslot again!!!
