Volvo 940GL Saloon for sale
I am trying to cut down the fleet, consequently my '91 940 GL saloon is for sale (2.0)
Location: Rochdale, Manchester 5 months MOT (February 2010) 10 Months Road Tax (July 2010) 200k miles Fantastic everyday car, she is a first time starter, reliable as anything and in good condition. Had quite a few jobs done on her to keep her in good order, I have used her constantly for the last four years with no major issues. Slight dent in the boot lid area and a small crease on the nearside rear. All work done by local independent Volvo mechanic whilst in my care, serviced every 6 months. The car also comes with a pretty reasonable history file, including the original owners service history. The only downside I can think of is she may need a new scuttle panel in the future (bolt on/off job) Replaced steering rack New starter motor Top end engine rebuild Suspension work New headlight wipers Speedometer replaced in 2006 She is also fitted with a tow bar (never used by me) I am open to offers, please PM me or e-mail me on oovebei@hotmail.co.uk Pictures: |

She really is a good car, totally reliable. I know she is a saloon and she certainly has to go within the next week or so.
I am trying to avoid putting her on e-bay or similar as I am looking for an enthusiast to take her on. I am happy to negotiate on the price! |

She looks nice and I would have been interested ... but I'm looking for an auto.
Seriously however, most people who want to purchase a 700/900 want the estate version, so yours being a GL saloon, however good, is not that desirable. Perhaps you're being a tad optimistic on the price, that's all I can suggest. I can see there's a lot of tax left and that works out to be worth about £170 so someone should be getting a good deal there. Charles

I don't find the asking price perticularly excessive.
The cars not being sold as a 'rare gem', it's a good solid everyday runner. Look through the autotrader or eBay and try and find something comparible, taxed and ready to drive for the same price. Personaly I think saloons are the hidden gems of the big-Volvo world. True they're not as desirable as wagons, but that means you do tend to get a lot of car for lesser money. As seen here. If I was going big-Volvo, I'd be looking for somthing like this without a doubt. Unfortunatly I'm 300 all the way. Good luck with the sale mate. Looks like a nice honest car. |
