Default wiring in a 7 pin socket

I have fitted a tow bar to my 2002 V70, and need to wirew in the 7 pin socket. The tow bar is a very good aftermarket unit but has a generic socket without the volvo plug. I need to know which wires from the socket goes to what colour wire in the loom socket?

Default wiring in a 7 pin socket

I have looked at all the good info made available to me, but I am still having trouble. I have been left with two scokets one of which I think ids for the 7 pin connection and the other (smaller) socket I have no idea what it is for. I have attache a picture of the socket, which has had some wires cut free of it which shows my problem. I need to cut off the socket and solder the wires to their corresponding colours from the 7 pin. Hopefully this makes sence to someone.

okay best thing to do is get a 12v tester start at the plug in the picture in turn on each wire get some one to turn the left indicator on and test each wire on the plug, then do the right, brake lights and then side lights.that may help you .

That is what I always do.
Also worth noting that on the 7 pin the earth wire is white!

pin 1 yellow left turn
pin 2 blue fog
pin 3 white earth
pin 4 green right turn
pin 5 black right side
pin 6 red brake
pin 7 brown left side.
