Last year I had the steering u/j joint replaced at the same time as the steering rack.It now works as well as from the factory.
To keep it this way I want to lubricate the u/j. But what with and how? Thanks |

I have only done mine once but I put a liberal application of ATF over the UJ's and put a tray underneath to catch the excess, I then wiped off the excess with a rag after about half an hour of soaking.

I've not done it myself on the Steering UJ but would it be possible to tap a hole for a zirk fitting?

I know Mhuk bought one from me to fit to his car and the one he took off he covered in ATF and it was fine afterwards, that's why I used ATF on mine. |

The bearings in the UJ are sealed to prevent water ingress so you wont get any oil in.. the HEAT dries them out however.. If you want to prolong it's life make up a heat shield...
